Ashlen is a Senior Hydraulic Engineer who combines technical knowledge with a strong work ethic to solidify his career foundations within the industry. He involves himself with key practical aspects of hydraulic design, utilising current and effective problem-solving techniques when delivering design outcomes for complex projects.

Ashlen is currently progressing the hydraulic services design for the $1.7 billion Queen Victoria Markets Southern Development Site in Melbourne’s CBD, one of the largest development projects currently in planning. The project features a 28-storey commercial office tower, 46-storey build-to-rent residential tower, basement parking, plant facilities, and renovation of heritage-listed Franklin Street Stores.

His portfolio includes ongoing construction administration for Project Resilience at Moderna Pharmaceuticals, a world-leading medical research institute focusing on cancer, cardiovascular disease, and inflammation solutions. Ashlen conducts periodic site inspections and reviews hydraulic technical submittals to ensure quality assurance during installation phases.

Ashlen contributed as hydraulic engineer to the recently completed $800 million Melbourne Quarter Tower, a 34-storey office development adjacent to Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station. His experience spans the full project lifecycle from design development through construction delivery and practical completion, demonstrating his comprehensive understanding of hydraulic engineering principles and their practical application in major commercial and mixed-use developments.
