Steven Stefanov
- Senior Engineer - Civil & Water Engineering
- Location: Sydney

Steven is a specialist in complex civil infrastructure projects with extensive experience across major Australian transportation and urban development initiatives. As an Accredited Sydney Water Designer (C3), Steven brings technical expertise to complex infrastructure upgrades spanning aviation, health, warehouse, and transport sectors.
Steven has played key roles in Australia’s largest infrastructure projects including Sydney Metro-Hickson Road, Barangaroo, Sydney Metro-Sydenham to Bankstown, Sydney Metro West, Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport, and Canberra Light Rail. His expertise encompasses detailed design and documentation of major water, sewer, and stormwater systems, including technical advisory services and asset interface coordination.
Notable projects include the $2.6 billion Sydney Gateway where he delivered potable water and sewer detailed designs with 3D modeling and clash detection, and Barangaroo Headland Park where he contributed to the recreation of a six-hectare naturalistic headland involving complex utility relocations including 700m of DN375 pipeline deviation by microtunnelling. His work on Sydney Metro West involved detailed design of trunk Sydney Water assets ranging from DN150 to DN2000, demonstrating his capability with large-scale utility infrastructure.
Steven’s technical capabilities include services coordination, 3D modelling, clash detection, preparation of BOA applications, specialist engineering assessments, and facilitating technical workshops. His experience with microtunneling, HDD installations, trunk sewer deviations, and pump station design makes him particularly valuable for complex urban infrastructure projects requiring sophisticated utility coordination and innovative engineering solutions.
