Melbourne Quarter Precinct


Melbourne Quarter features three commercial towers, two residential apartment towers, and diverse retail. At completion, it will have 152,000sqm of commercial and 5,000sqm of retail space.


Melbourne Quarter is a development featuring three cutting-edge commercial towers, two residential apartment towers, and a vibrant blend of retail spaces. Upon full completion, the precinct will encompass a total of 152,000 square meters of commercial areas, along with an additional 5,000 square meters designated for retail purposes.

The Melbourne Quarter Precinct in Melbourne’s CBD comprises PCA “A” Grade Office Buildings, together with a 6 Green Star and 5 Star Nabers rating.

The precinct will be the first in Melbourne to have a North facing elevated Skypark, providing occupiers with a variety of work spaces and breakout areas ensuring up-most productivity, along with an abundance of precinct wide retail amenity, including a childcare and gym facilities.

Our role

Our role in the project encompasses developing a stormwater drainage concept plan and conducting a hydrological analysis to determine the optimal size of the On-Site Detention storage facility. We also designed a Water Sensitive Urban Design system, provided engineering calculations, and ensured alignment with Melbourne City Council’s requirements. Additionally, we addressed erosion and sedimentation control, prepared bulk earthworks plans, and conducted traffic analysis to optimise access lanes and loading dock areas.

A substantial portion of the building structure is constructed to span over the main arterial roadway of Wurundjeri Way, requiring ‘out of the box’ thinking for space planning & system arrangement for the hydraulic & fire services design to overcome logistical constrains associated with construction sequencing and critical delivery program.
With a strong focus on sustainability, rainwater harvesting and recycling was implemented ensuring that a considerable reduction in utility-supplied water consumption would be achieved.
