Situated in our newly formed office in Brisbane, this distinctive dual position role plays a crucial role in propelling the company’s goals, championing innovation, and guiding growth strategies on a state level.

The role

This dual State Manager/Senior Engineer role is based in Brisbane and reports directly to the Managing Director and closely supported by the National Manager, Strategy and Growth. The State Manager will motivate, lead and develop a team of Engineers and Designers in our newly formed Brisbane office.

As a member of the leadership team, they are responsible for nurturing a positive, team-oriented environment, growth of our Brisbane office, financial awareness, including revenue, profitability, assisting in business development and project managing select projects. 

As an experienced engineer, the role will include producing engineering design solutions for our clients. Collaborating in a consulting environment and as part of a project team, this role is responsible for devising innovative engineering designs and administering their construction, including through the commissioning, handover, and review during implementation.

About You

Known as a team player with strong organisation skills and clear communication, the ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate an ability to problem solve through accurately evaluating various data sources and making informed decisions. You have solid project management skills, being able to work well to deliver within time, cost, and quality parameters and to build and leverage effective relationships. You can develop strong client, consultant and contractor relationships and convert opportunities to projects.

Key Selection Criteria

Ideal Skills & Qualifications
  • Diploma in Engineering/Bachelor or Masters in engineering or equivalent (Current CPEng and RPEQ).
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering principles and be able to propose design solution for a variety of needs.
  • Proven track record with clients applicable to your stage of your career.
  • Strong existing client, consultant, and contractor relationships in QLD.
