Eurobodalla Regional Hospital

The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital is designed for scalable growth to meet future service demands. It will offer advanced, patient-focused care with the support of a $260 million investment from the NSW Government.

Equipped with the latest technology and modern care models, the hospital aims to provide comprehensive, patient-centred services in the community. Backed by a $260 million commitment from the NSW Government, the development promises to be a significant asset for local healthcare.

The scope of the project is extensive, featuring an Emergency Department, an Intensive Care/Close Observation Unit, increased chemotherapy and renal dialysis capacities, surgical and operating theatres, a day stay surgical unit, an expanded medical imaging department with MRI, ambulatory care, paediatric and maternity services including a special care nursery, mental health facilities, and advanced education and training provisions, such as a simulation lab.

WSce was engaged as part of the Multiplex team. We completed 70% Design Development and successfully reduced the project’s water supply embodied carbon by 16%. Our expertise extended to fire and hydraulic design for 70% of Design Development, including detailed requirements elicitation for the specialty water system and the strategic redesign of the reference design works. Our contributions were key in advancing the State Significant Development Application supporting environmental sustainability and ensuring the hospital’s infrastructure met all necessary specifications for functionality and safety.
