Salesforce Tower is Sydney’s first WELL Shell and Core pre-certified building.

Sydney’s Salesforce Tower, a striking 55-level (263m) office marvel in Circular Quay, revitalises its urban precinct. Pedestrian laneways weave through, hosting shops, cafes, and bars, embracing Sydney’s uniqueness. The tower offers flexible, innovative workspaces, from startups to large firms, maximising views with an offset core. Committed to sustainability, it has a NABERS 5.5 Star energy performance, Green Star 6 rating, and is Sydney’s first WELL Core and Shell pre-certified building.

In our role, we recognised the alignment of stringent acoustic and thermal requirements, devising an integrated insulation strategy to save CAPEX and space. By optimising the Central Thermal Plant based on defined population scenarios, we rationalised domestic hot water capacity.

Our sustainability focus is evident in the implementation of rainwater recycling, significantly reducing reliance on the supply network. Throughout concept and design development, we actively support the development’s 6 Star Green Star rating goals, prioritising public amenity and environmental sustainability in decision-making processes.

In our expansive work within the super high-rise domain, particularly regarding fire and hydraulic services, we bring a specialised skill set that addresses the significant challenges posed by high-pressure systems and the constraints of limited lift core design space. Our innovative approach to these complex issues has informed the update of AS2118.6, a testament to our leadership and contribution to industry standards.
