Sydney’s premier Speedway, officially named Eastern Creek Speedway, celebrated its grand opening on March 12, 2022. Nestled within the Sydney Motorsport precinct at Western Sydney Parklands, this state-of-the-art facility marks the new home of Speedway in the region.

WSce played a crucial role in managing fire protection and hydraulic services for this significant state development. Addressing challenges, wastewater, considered high-risk due to the absence of nearby Sydney Water assets, required strategic solutions.

Water supply considerations, spanning drinking water, firefighting, and track dewatering, involved close collaboration with Sydney Water, assessing options for the nearest trunk mains located 2-3 kms away.

To address future growth, a thorough evaluation was conducted. Sydney Water’s commitment to funding a new external asset, benefiting neighboring landowners, was achieved through a procurement process or a ‘Memorandum of Understanding,’ ensuring comprehensive infrastructure support for the development.
